New Mexico AIDS Services (NMAS) provides case management and psychosocial support in Bernalillo and six northwest New Mexico counties - the State's largest identified HIV-positive population. Medical and clinical services are provided through a unique collaborative agreement with the University of New Mexico (UNM) Health Sciences Center Infectious Disease Clinic. In March, 2000, these two organizations began to provide services at a single site. NMAS has the longest history of continuous care of HIV-positive persons in the State. In the field of prevention, NMAS provides a variety of unique prevention services to gender and age-specific at-risk populations.
