Promoting Healthy Travel

Going somewhere exotic? Pre-travel services are tailored to the unique needs of the traveler and their destination. Vaccines, malaria prevention, travelers’ diarrhea, diagnosis, travel-related illnessnesses, and pandemic safeguards are common concerns, especially for infants, young children, immunocompromised, and pregnant travelers.

Special vaccinations may be required for entry into certain countries, such as vaccines against yellow fever, hepatitis A, Japanese encephalitis, typhoid, and rabies. Your vaccination schedule will be based on your immunization history, travel itinerary, and the amount of time available before departure.

If you’re traveling to an area where malaria is common, talk to your provider about precautions to avoid mosquito bites and taking medications to prevent malaria. Most malaria medications need to be taken before, during, and after your trip. The CDC website informs about destination-specific vaccination requirements and offers travel health and safety tips.

You might be eligible for a virtual, pre-travel consultation. Let us know if you’re interested in this option when you contact us to schedule your appointment.

Keeping healthy makes every trip more enjoyable.
