Southwest CARE Center’s Statement on COVID-19 Vaccine

COVID-19 vaccines are in short supply throughout the United States. We are committed to providing COVID-19 vaccines to our high risk patients as they continue to become available.  Following the NM Department of Health guidelines, we are prioritizing our patients over 75 years of age. We will contact randomized patients in that age group as our vaccine supply allows. As more vaccine is available, we will expand to continue providing vaccine to our most vulnerable patients according to DOH guidelines.

SCC is not currently taking phone calls requesting vaccine appointments. Please make sure you have registered on the DOH website, https://cvvaccine.nmhealth.org/,  as there is not a waiting list for vaccines.  We will continue to provide updates.

Respiratory Clinic

We have created a Respiratory Clinic which is located at a separate site from our established locations. (It is located next to our Galisteo Adult medicine clinic) and we will schedule any SCC patients with respiratory symptoms who need an evaluation at this site.

A set of dedicated staff will be available to see pediatric patients from 8:30am-12:00pm, and adult patients 1:00pm-5:00pm Monday through Friday. These hours may be subject to change.

Our respiratory clinic is a controlled environment where we can safely evaluate sick patients and perform COVID19 testing in your vehicle if you are at risk.
