Jason joined Southwest Care in November of 2019 in the role of Director of Finance and became CFO 6 months later. Prior to that, Jason spent over 25 years with the State of New Mexico in various roles, primarily focused on healthcare financial management.
Most recently, he was CFO of the $6 billion state Medicaid program for four years and CFO of the $60 Million NM Aging and Long-Term Services Department for over five years.
Jason is a past president of the National Association of Human Services Finance Officer where he served for more than 12 years. He also served on the board of the NM Medical Insurance Pool from 2002-2004. Jason has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics with Honors from The University of New Mexico. He is married and has three grown children.
