Dr. Gorgos completed her medical training at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1995 followed by a residency in internal medicine at The Massachusetts General Hospital in 1998. Her infectious disease specialty training includes a master’s degree in Control of Infectious Disease at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington, and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Her prior research focused on HIV and sexually transmitted infections in minority populations and in LGBTQ communities. She currently serves as Associate Medical Director for Specialty Services at Southwest Care Center and is Principal Investigator for multiple ongoing HIV, hepatitis C, and vaccine clinical trials at the clinic.
