Ryan White Program helps people who are diagnosed with HIV, or diagnosed but currently in care to essential HIV treatment and support services to reach HIV viral suppression and reduce transmission. More than half the people with HIV, or more than half a million people in the United States, receive services through the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program each year.
You are eligible if you are a New Mexico resident, have a household income under 400% of the Federal Poverty Level, and are HIV positive. A Medical Case Manager will help you navigate health care coverage options and assist with program enrollment.
The Ryan White Program covers medical care and support services expenses for eligible uninsured and insured eligible individuals. For uninsured, the primary service charge is covered but depending on your income, you may be responsible for a small copay. If you have insurance, the program assists with copays, coinsurance, and deductibles. Eligible medical services have to be administered within the HIV Clinic and ordered by your HIV provider.
