Sports Physicals vs. Annual Checkups
Physicals focus on determining if your child can safely participate in a sport. Routine checkups take a broader approach. During a routine checkup we review a child’s medical history, medications, and conduct a more comprehensive exam that includes vision and hearing tests and screenings, determining if they are reaching certain developmental milestones. Depending on age and medical history, checkups may also include childhood vaccinations, labs, and other tests. If needed, we will refer you to a pediatric specialist for further evaluation or treatments.
